Question: What does a solution to the Bot problem look like?

Answer: DropShop of course - a blockchain based lottery platform that rewards customers for value generating brand interactions and communications!

While Bots damage customer experience, they have created a conundrum. The inflated resale market is now integral to how drops work, as it serves as a metric for a brand’s success: higher resale price tags mean greater hype, and greater hype means a higher brand value.[]

Brands would prefer to replace the brand value generated by Bots inflating the market with brand value generated as close to the customer as possible. Therefore, a better solution to the problem must include two key characteristics:

  1. Eliminate the Bots, but not the resale market

  2. Offer a mechanism to signal value and grow hype (must compensate for lost hype due to lower secondary market inflation).

We propose a blockchain based platform with these solution attributes to democratize market participation, keeping primary customers in the primary market. We call this platform DropShop.
